Challenge

Kjaernes Gaard became Norway’s most famous conference center after a popular TV show “Hver gang vi møtes (Every time we meet)” was filmed there. The site, a family farm dating back to the 1500s, has become the most famous place in Norway to hold company conferences with room for up to 200 attendees.

The big barn that was also used as a TV studio was being transitioned into a conference room. The facility is outside Moss, Norway, a 35-minute drive from Fredrickstad, where Barco is located. Since the room was close by, Barco took on the project.

Solution

Barco uses Projecta projection screens in their facilities for demos and engineering, so they are well aware of how HD Progressive works with their high resolution projectors. They reached out to Projecta for the Kjaernes Gaard project.

Projecta’s Tensioned Elpro Concept with HD Progressive 1.1 and a custom black drop was created to achieve the ideal viewing height and a viewing area of 181 x 290 cm. Barco used their F50 WQXGA projector.

Results

The site is able to show images clearly in a size appropriate to the space.
