It’s Friday night and the second season of your favorite scary Netflix series has just been released after an almost two-year hiatus. You’ve decided to cuddle up with your fur baby to watch the new season on your mobile device in bed with the lights out! Then, out of nowhere--THE HORROR--your show isn’t loading. You’re frantic. You check the signal. It’s weak. You disconnect your WiFi and reconnect. Still a terrible signal. No wait, it’s loading...still loading!
The moral of the story…don’t be a victim of a poor WiFi signal in your own home. Whether it’s streaming for work or streaming for pleasure, your WiFi signal has never been more important due to so many of us working and learning from home during this pandemic. Maybe it’s not Netflix, maybe it’s a product demonstration or very important Zoom call with a top customer- a good signal is a must.
Regardless of the speeds in your internet package, there are likely a few household items that are blocking your WiFi signal and preventing you from receiving full bandwidth potential. The floor length mirror in your bedroom is great for modeling that new outfit, but it could be blocking your WiFi signal. That amazing 50-gallon salt water fish tank that you spend hours tending to could also be impeding your signal. It’s also possible that your neighbors’ WiFi signal (especially if you live in an apartment) could be slowing you down. It’s true. Not only does distance play a role in your WiFi signal, but household items could be slowing you down as well.
Looking for a way to improve your wireless signal or add WiFi to a new space? Luxul, a brand of Legrand, has a simple solution for you. Check out our NEW Epic Mesh Kit. This product doesn’t require additional wires; just plug into an available outlet and the powerful 4x4 5GHz dedicated backhaul channel ensures each node (2 included) has strong connectivity back to the router to deliver fast internet anywhere in the home.
