Using Chief TiLED to be prepared at the Astara Central Europe Hub Headquarters
Challenge
Astara is one of the world’s leading mobility companies and located in 19 countries. The Central Europe Hub Headquarters of the company is in Switzerland and recently moved to a new location in Wallisellen, near the airport in Zürich. Astara wanted to make sure the entrance made an impression and could be used as an experience center, and for this they contacted Suprag Solutions. Suprag Solutions has specialized in information and communication for over 35 years and took on this project together with Legrand | AV partner Littlebit Technology.
Solution
The plan was to install two LED walls at the entrance of the Astara Experience Center in a high-end solution. These would be with 1.25mm pixel pitch LG LSBB012 LED cabinets in UHD resolution with a size of 480 cm wide by 270 cm in height. The part that was unknown was the exact status of the structural walls that would be used.
The architect designed wooden walls that were to be built by a carpenter. While planning for the installation, Suprag Solutions wanted to prevent any issues on-site during the installation and looked for a mounting system that would give flexibility. “We needed both walls at the same level. The fine tuning of the Chief TiLED mounting system would help here to solve this situation.” says Sascha Spühler, Chief Operating Officer at Suprag Solutions. “We wanted to be prepared for the installation as it was not clear what the underground was when making the offer. That is why we chose a mount that was flexible and could work with different undergrounds. We had to be prepared if there was a difference in depth. In the end it was not bad, but we had to be ready to solve any issues that could arise. The carpenter made a great wall in the end, but you never know in advance.” Legrand | AV’s Chief TiLED mount enables precise adjustment and control of the X, Y, and Z axes. The mount’s adjustability ensures perfect display LED positioning and cabinet-to-cabinet alignment and compensates for surface imperfections.
Results
The result of the installation is definitely an impressive entrance to the building and an asset to the experience center. “Such an installation is not at every headquarters in Switzerland” says Sascha Spühler.
